Roulette Strategy

Roulette is one of those casino games that draws a large crowd towards the table and gets your heart pumping with excitement. Spinning the wheel and placing your bet waiting for a handsome payout is no longer based on luck alone but rather having a strategy when you play Roulette ensures the odds are on your side.

Roulette is said to have some of the worst player odds and if you are not careful enough you might be in for a losing streak. Over the years, players became tired of the house always winning and came up with a number of calculated strategies to get their money back and make a killing.wh

Why Have A Roulette Strategy?

There are several Roulette strategies but choosing the right one depends on your style of play and approach. For instance, progressive betting is a strategy based on increasing your bet amount after the outcome of a previous round. However, for non-progressive betting, players have two options; to either maintain the same bet throughout the game or change the bet amount to how they see fit. Read on to discover which one would fit your style of playing.

The Most Popular Roulette Strategies

There are a few strategies that have been tested and become popular by the majority. The strategies include the Martingale, Fibonacci, Labouchere, James Bond, D’Alembert, and Reverse Martingale system.

Choosing a Roulette strategy is an individual choice, but most new players lean towards the Martingale system because of its straightforwardness.

Experienced players, on the other hand, go for the James Bond strategy that seems more calculated but less risky. Even if they can’t guarantee you a 100% winning chance, Roulette strategies and following the Roulette rules will surely increase your odds and chances of winning.

Martingale Strategy

The Martingale Roulette strategy is a common strategy that players use whether in an online live Roulette casino game or at a physical table. The strategy involves doubling your stake after every loss without changing your option(black/red, even/odd or small/large digits). By doing this, a player tries to get back the lost bet and have an additional win at the same time.

Once you land a win after a couple of losses, the next bet amount goes back to the initial bet amount you started with and not the just concluded total wins. However, be careful and watch out for consecutive losses.

Fibonacci Strategy

The Fibonacci strategy is based on the “Fibonacci Sequence” developed by Leonardo Pisano a legendary Italian mathematician. The Fibonacci sequence is employed as a progressive betting strategy whereby a player places a bet based on the sum of the last two bets. Place the first bet of £1, if you lose place another bet of £1, following the sequence your third bet should be £2. This strategy focuses on wins rather than losses. You might have more losses than wins but still, end up having the last laugh. One thing to note is that the further you go down the sequence the greater your losses.

Reverse Martingale Strategy

The Reverse Martingale gameplay is the opposite of the Martingale Roulette strategy and focuses on the wins instead. Once you start betting, maintain a small wager until you hit a win, ensure you double your bet amount on the very same bet option and keep on doubling your bet after every win. If you get unlucky and lose, all your money goes down the drain.

For those players who have enjoyed playing several of the different Roulette variations, the Labouchere strategy offers a brainteaser to enjoy. It is a bit complex and is also referred to as the Cancellation. The system involves coming up with a list of numbers that are arranged randomly or in a particular order and whose sum total matches up to a player’s desired profit amount.

The first bet wager will be the sum of the two outer numbers on the list. If you win those two numbers are cancelled, if you lose the previous wager amount is added as the last number on the list.

James Bond

Ian Fleming, the author of the James Bond book series came up with this strategy and referred to it as the “foolproof” Roulette strategy. In this strategy, the minimum bet amount is £200 placed on three bet options. The first bet places £140 on high numbers(19-36), the second bet places £50 on (13-18) and the last bet is £10 on 0 for insurance.

Of all the strategies, the D’Alembert Roulette strategy is the safest. The strategy increases your bet amount based on arithmetic progression and not geometric, therefore reducing the risks involved. The next bet amount is increased by one in case of a loss and reduced by one in case of a win. The end goal of this strategy is to balance your wins and losses.

Once the score is settled, pick up your winnings and call it quits, simple as that. High rollers and risk-takers may not like this strategy because it’s a slow but sure process that requires a lot of patience.
